Selene 53' Fuel burn

Hello,

Does anyone know the fuel burn and cruising speed is for a Selene 53' with the Cummins QSL9?

I would absolutely love to see data at different RPM's if anyone has it!!!

8 knots equal 8 gallons per hour.
7=6
5=3
11.5=30

8 knots=1600 rpm
7=1500 more or less.

We have twin John beers, but in conversations with my single engine, friends are burn rate is pretty similar although I guess this comment will probably stir some controversy, but hopefully this will help

I typically run my QSL9 at the 2 different cruise speeds as below:

1200 RPM  Fuel Burn 4 GPH Speed 7.6 knots
1400 RPM Fuel Burn 5 GPH Speed 8.4 knots

Hope this helps.

This is on a 55 with a single qsl9. Fully loaded with fuel water with fin stabilizers on. We are full time cruisers so this is a heavy boat with a lot of personal belongings, tools and spares. The numbers between 900 and 1400 rpm are an average of multiple trips and would be the most accurate as well as our normal cruise speed

RPM GPH Speed Knt

600 0.75 4.25

700 1.05 4.65

800 1.4 5.25

900 1.77 5.57

1000 2.45 6.05

1100 2.95 6.65

1200 4.05 6.95

1300 5.25 7.4

1350 5.45 7.6

1400 6.1 8.25

1450 6.8 7.9

1500 7.7 8.8

1600 8.7 8.9

1700 10.4 9.1

1800 13.2 9.9

hope this helps

This is for a Selene 57, single engine Cummins QSM-11. I suspect these numbers would be very similar to a single engine 53. One big factor is how clean the propeller (#1) and bottom (#2) is.
