I have been cruising the Mediterranean Sea for 6 years and decided to come up to the Baltic Sea last summer before going up Norway coastline and then to Svalbard. Tuborg Havn in Copenhagen is where I ended last summer's cruise and am still there.
But, Copenhagen has had the coldest winter in 16 years and the most snow since 2011. We have had steady easterly winds pushing cold brackish water into the marina. My first experience with a motor yacht in frozen water. Luckily, Anna is very warm so there is a soft bed of ice surrounding her so she is not frozen solid. She moves for side to side just enough. And many boats are in the same shape.
Just thought I would share. It's my first very cold winter and hope that all will be fine after a haulout, a good buffing to remove the "moustache" and apply fresh anti-fouling paint.
