3-in flexible thermaflex a/c ducting

Thanks so much. I should have posted sooner. Ordered it from Citimarine

Thanks again,

Pat

I've been replacing the ducting on Roadrunner as needed. In particular I wanted to avoid a metallic exterior surface so went with a non-conductive polyester outer-cover type.

The 3" was obtained from CitiMarine (ignore the 4" diameter in the listing, select 3" and you'll receive 3"), ordered MPI - Marine Products International 3" series 480.

The 5" and 6" were from Supply House, ordered H&C Flex F114

If you find aluminum welded T's in the ducting, MSI (Marine Systems Inc) makes far better plastic T's with an internal "diverter" flap for directing air flow more one way than the other.

What I found in our boat is that the ducting was unnecessarily over-sized for the air handlers when a T was used to split the duct. Matching the duct size to the air handler fan CFM and adjusting the diverter flap helps to equalize the air flow at the output grills.

Various Dometic dealers also sell, but 25 foot at a time. About 200 bucks. I had to replace mine. 3" is non standard in the AC WORLD.

I had to replace my air conditioner ducting and am having trouble locating the 3-in Thermaflex ducting that was installed. It is Thermaflex G-KM insulated flexible ducting.

Does anyone know of a source for it.

Thanks,
