Tecma toilet seat replacement

2007 / 53-071

I concur, marinesan.com, great service. I did order a replacement seat from Fisheries however. Problem for me was determining the proper model numbers. Tecma stated that the model number was located on a sticker inside the unit, thus requiring removal. 1) no sticker, 2) unreadable. After some research I found the specifications (dimensions) for the older Tecma units and determined that both were the original Tecma Silence series. 4 models in that series:

Silence Plus - tall (18.1") with elongated bowl

Silence Plus short - shorter (14.1") with elongated bowl

Silence Standard - tall (18.1") with round bowl

Silence Standard Short - shorter (14.1") with round bowl

Our master is a Silence Plus, the guest is a Silence Standard Short.

Per the Tecma web site, Tecma will no longer be supporting the original Silence series beyond 2025, thus parts will be limited to current inventory. Per Fisheries web site, I ordered the last Silence Plus seat in their inventory.

Hi, I have been getting parts including new seats from Marine Sanitation in Seattle for years, great service, https://marinesan.com/ I may well have the most used Tecma on earth, 20 years of livaboard! They have served me well,

Richard,
Fisheries has replacement seats for most models. I have had to replace both on our 47’ (deep hull ). Both broke at the plastic hinge from sideways movement. The larger toilet seat replacement is of much better quality than the smaller seat in the master head. The smaller unit still uses light weight plastic hinge mounts.
I was able to replace both units without removing the bowl. A combination of the right wrench and small hands made the job easier! Rick Panowicz 4734

Does anyone have a source for Tecma toilet seats?  I spent a while looking with no luck.

Thanks,
Richard

To get the the bolts you have move the toilet away from the wall. A real PITA!

New 2011 45 owner. Master head has Tecma toilet. Seat is broken and needs replaced. Toilet is flush against wall. Any suggestions on how to replace seat? Do I have to unbolt the entire toilet to access wing nuts for the seat? Thanks in advance.
