Aft Flybridge Drain Bedding
Ryan Gist

Hey - getting ready to re-bed a flybridge drain and would like to pick someone’s brain about it. Any experience in this crew?

Thanks!

Look's like you have pulled the scupper right off the hose, can you pull the hose up to expose the hose clamp?
My was full of caulking it was a real mess around the fiberglass as well, make sure you use new screws when re bedding it as the existing will be brittle

Hi Ryan

If it's the Flybridge aft scuppers above the stainless stanchions there's a lot more to this than re-bedding onto the deck. There is a drain hose from the scupper thru the stanchion to the lazarette.

If you go to the Owners Forum and search for Greg Groom you will see his write-up of doing the job.

I've also done the job so feel free to message.

Hey Garry - that was super helpful, thanks.  I’d love to give you a call if you’re around - my issue is a little easier because I don’t think I need to replace the hose.

Hello Ryan... I just completed this task this spring... had to replace the hose from the scupper down to the manifold down in the Lazarette .

I’m thinking I need to reglass the bed.  There were big gaps in the glass/core that were just stuffed with caulk.  Two of the screws were basically screwed into caulk.
