Getting too many emails from the Owner's Site ...
Author Last Post

I wanted to re-send these instructions for limiting the amount of emails you receive from the Selene Owners Association Website. With the upcoming election of Board Members, the Selene Rendezvous Event registration being open, and other news and that is important for members be aware of, you should know that you can limit the amount of emails in several ways.

Many spouses are now adding their partner accounts to be able to vote, register for events, etc., and some may not want to get emails about mechanical discussions that continue to go on and on, etc.

So, if you feel your getting too many emails from the owner's site forums and want to reduce the volume of emails, you have several choices:

1. You can very quickly just stop all forum emails by logging into the site, clicking the "Forums" item in the main menu and then clicking the "STOP ALL FORUM EMAILS" button. This won't un-subscribe you from the emails permanently....it just pauses the emails. The button will change to "RESUME FORUM EMAILS" so you can restart. This is a convenient way to stop emails temporarily if you're going to be away, or if you just don't want any forum notices. And you can always look at the forum discussions on the site at any time by loggin in.

2. You can also un-subscribe to emails from specific forums only. To do that, click the "Forums" menu item in the main menu. Then click the "My Forum Memberships" button near the top. Click the pencil icon on the right edge of the screen next to the specific forum you want to change the settings for. In the middle of the screen, you'll see a section titled "Message Delivery". There's a checkbox titled "Send Forum Messages to me Via Email." Uncheck the box to stop email delivery. You can still log in to read the messages on the website at any time, but you won't receive email from this forum for each message in the conversation.

3. Finally, you can choose to receive a "daily digest" of all postings for a day in one email delivered once a day. In that same section where the "message delivery" option is shown (see #2 above), there's a drop-down box that says: "Frequency". Options are: "Immediately" (which means deliver individual emails immediately for each posting, or "Daily Digest" (which means deliver one email each day with a summary of all the messages. There are two Digest options--one that includes full message text, or one that only includes the subject lines from each message.

So....bottom line is: don't get frustrated with getting too much email! You have lots of options for controlling the amount of email you get! We want everybody to stay engaged!

We also hope to get some new forum topics going that are of greater interest to various members. There are many boating topics not related to mechanical operation to discuss. Feel free to start a new topic of interest to you, or suggest something you would like to see on the website.

We want everyone to enjoy this forum and find it useful, but also to stay informed on important things.
